What’s next, KC… well, still got the close to get painted, Crawford St bathroom really needs a bit of a facelift,( much like it’s owner,)and the transformation of the coal cellar into a utility room has a long way to go.
apart from all that, I’m looking forward to a bit of a rest, and re-acquainting myself with my nearest and dearest. My kids probably couldn’t pick me out of a line up, and I feel a bit guilty…

No taddoe dear, you were not the only person to have refused to watch Chas&Di’s crapologuous hitching, but purrhaps the only one with the attention-span of a gnat
We found bb1&Cub’s wedding in July to be idiosyncratic and lovely and wouldn’t have missed it for the world. Had they allowed no-one to watch, we would not have been there.
As far as fpu remembers, there was not a telly on daddy’s yacht on the Clyde…

glad to read more from you! On chuck and di’s big day—i stayed in hubbys grandad’s flat where we spent summer-him and kids at his folks glued to the box! Was i the only person to have refused to watch it??even at night on the news i turned the box off; still never watch weddings even normal humans getting hitch at the tow/village hall. mine was personel and refused to have onlookrs outs the kirk—even refused the courier and p.a’s photographer to come and take pics. Okay,i admit,I am weird!:lol:but you all know that:wink:

Being Giant Haystack’s double (and never being allowed to forget it by every wit in Glesca) a mere day’s drunken-ness in Daddy’s yacht was neither here nor there…
I don’t think she claimed to have never gorn on the water, Cap’n, but purrhaps the experience put her orff:-)

You’d be AMAZED what folk can do to a holiday flat in a week. I’m just compiling my Award’s Ceremony list, to be published on Island Blogging shortly. I intend to take my camera when I return next week for some photographic evidence , also evidence of the completed- ness ( completed-ness???) of George st.
Yuo had a much better time than me, KC, on wedding Day. I sat in a friend’s flat and watched it, and gawd it was dull. Her dress looked shite.
BB must have been a tad embarrassed, eh? Hope male part of OC knew how to steer a boat?

It’s quite a talent that allows someone to turn a holiday flat into Grease Hell in a short space of time. Probably took years of practice…in op’s houses of course! Theirs is no doubt OCD in its pristinity. (pristinity???)
On the day of C&D’s wedding, fpu was on a 29′ yacht in the Firth of Clyde with Big Boyfriend and another couple on a Nae F***ing Wedding Cruise. There was a degree of alcoholic consumption involved, which lead to BB getting so blootered male half of OC had to steer the boat to Wemyss Bay, drop off the distaff sides and steer boat back to Inverkip. Royal Wedding, what Royal Wedding?
